LHAMOUR is about love. It is founded on the philosophy of loving yourself and taking care of yourself, loving others and sharing knowledge and passion, as well as loving the environment. It has my niece's name Lhamo in it, because what we do now will affect the next generation. By being a social impact business, we want to show future generations how we can take care of each other—and mother nature as well. It all started with a very simple objective: I wanted to find a solution for my own problem. Then it started to grow bigger: Today, we want to make an impact on other people's lives, and society at large. In 2012, I came back to Mongolia to work for Mongolia's first wind farm company after having lived in the United States and Europe for many years. I began to develop allergies due to the air pollution, low water quality and extreme climate, which was a shock to me because I never had them before. Having skin rashes truly affected my daily life, and I finally understood how important our skin really is. It is the mirror of our health. I consulted with doctors, and they advised me that I should use mild natural products, since I couldn't change the negative external effects. But, I could not find anything. Everything was either imported (and not really natural) or low quality. And thus, I started thinking about beauty products in general, investigating ingredient lists and considering what it truly means to use natural products. What began with my own problem turned into a passion, inspiring me to learn about the skin and the effects that our products have on it. I decided to pursue the subject professionally by enrolling in Formula Botanica, the world's leading accredited online Organic Cosmetic Science School and became a professional skin care product formulator. I quickly moved on to the advanced diploma, and soon I was making products for myself using pure Mongolian ingredients. I started at home, creating products that I wished to use myself, then began giving my products to friends and family, who had similar skin problems to mine. As it turned out, many people 1) have allergies as well, 2) do not know what kind of skin type they have, 3) do not understand the available products well enough to know which ones suit them 4) believe in myths about skin care and have misguided skin routines 5) do not feel that the skin is that important. Therefore, I decided that I wanted to use my passion for solving my own skin problems—along with my professional background and the unique raw materials available in Mongolia—and start my journey of entrepreneurship. As you will learn for yourself, LHAMOUR is all about love.
